Default Update July 29th

Skill Changes

* Spiritual Pain (PvP): reduced damage taken by target foe to 5...40; reduced recharge to 12 seconds.
* Unnatural Signet (PvP): add the following functionality: "All of your non-Mesmer spells are disabled for 10 seconds."

[edit] Bug Fixes

* Fixed a bug that caused Calculated Risk and Calculated Risk (PvP) to reflect all damage instead of just damage from attacks.
* Fixed a bug that caused High Commissioner Gyills to use Entourage.
* Fixed a bug that caused Livia to freeze in place in Talmark Wilderness following the War in Kryta.
* Fixed a bug that prevented War in Kryta allies from spawning in postwar North Kryta Province when the player has an active historical royal bounty.

They could have avoided so much grief if they didn't just try a halfassed nerf the first time around.

So calculated risk is no longer a pain inventer? and what is the point of the all your non mesmer skills are disabled for 10 seconds to nerf the me/any only teams in gvg?

Getting pretty tired of constant PvP updates.....does the majority of the GW player base care about PvP? Why not cater more to the masses? Just b/c they seem to be more vocal? Is that the reason?.............Is it b/c it is that much easier to implement and therefore updates can be panned out with minimal effort? I'm just curious. Is Anet banking on the PvP player base to purchase GW2? Must be given the amount of attention they get.....or maybe it's much like a whiny baby......give it constant attention and hope it shuts up? Maybe the PvE crowd should try the same vocal puerility?

Why shouldn't they update PvP skills? Why does a PvE player care at all when a skill that only exists in PvP is changed?

PvEers are the most vocal. PvP never gets updates. PvE gets way more attention.

Do you even play the same game as everyone else?

I'm not even a PvPer and I know it needs attention.

Funny thing, you sound exactly like the whiny baby that you talk about here.
"The amount of attention PvP" gets amounts to skill updates i presume? While the PvE community has been getting a boatload of new content via WiK?

If it up to you, PvP would get no attention at all for the sole reason that you don't play it. Just because the majority of GW players only play PvE doesn't mean the PvP community should get absolutely nothing (And it is absolutely nothing that you want, don't tell me you just want to tone it down because PvE'rs bitch and whine here literally EVERY time a pvp-related update is released).
There are still people playing PvP and right now toning down Mesmer-spike before the upcoming MAT is a far more pressing concern than giving you some quest.

The more i see PvE players' reaction to PvP updates recently, the more i start to think the whining and QQ is less about actually wanting yet more new PvE content and more out of spite for the PvP community. That's the impression im getting anyway.

PvE gets updates all the time. Considering GW1 is known for it's PvP, I'd probably address the dreadful state the PvP is in right now.

(< PvX, used to PvP a lot, but left because of the dead meta/broken meta)

I rarely play PVP but I am glad that ANET works on it, I am glad they work on anything GW1 related for that matter. My son on the other hand likes PVP alot and plays regulary, I have to drag him into PVE at times.

The more people that play for whatever reason the better.

PvP gets the worst kind of attention [GvG-oriented/biased], tbh. Somebody uses a skill or build that somebody doesn't like in GvG, and that person has ties with Anet?:

Update - [Insert Date]

Skill Changes:

[Insert those hated skills here]...

Any one that actually plays GvG/HA knows that those skills needed to be fixed.

End of discussion.

Dumbest. Post. Ever.

They updated TWO skills. That's 2 out of over 1,000 skill in the game. Three of the four bugs they fixed involved strictly PvE content. NEW PvE at that. (Or was that whole "War in Kryta" thing just an illusion brough about by the recent love they gave to PvE Mesmers? - Get it? "illusion" - "Mesmers" hehehe)

Exactly... They nerfed 2 skills in PvP.

People need to stop bitching about more updates in PvE, you just got WiK.

Sad to see that CR bug fixed, but we lived without it, so whatevs.

Also, guess I'm the only one who saw Snow's post ripe with sarcasm.

When did opinions become "Bawww"? I just thought that this update was uninteresting...I would be saying the same thing if its some random PvE update that doesn't deal with underpowered classes.

And its not like PvP players don't do the same thing.

Yes, because balancing skills in a competitive format isn't as important as doing the same in a non-competitive format.

Wut?

(PS, I'm a PvE player. Stop whining. It makes us look bad)
